Centred in this project is the feminist mantra that the personal is political. This project documents stories from African women around their experiences of life in the times of the first year of the pandemic – in a time of reckoning, where the consequences of economic policies that don’t centre life were brought to unbearable light. These letters are from African women at different geographies, occupations, monies and life experiences.
